Socceroos pre-cut squad for World Cup

11/05/2010: Qantas Socceroos Head Coach Pim Verbeek today announced his preliminary squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup which begins in South Africa next month. Beauchamp, Bresciano, Cahill, Carle, Carney, Chipperfield, Culina, Emerton, Federici, Galekovic, Garcia, Grella, Holland, Holman, Jedinak, Brad Jones, Kennedy, Kewell, Lowry, McDonald, Milligan, Moore, Neill, North, Oar, Rukavytsya, Schwarzer, Valeri, Vidosic, Wilkshire, Rhys Williams. As per FIFA regulations, Verbeek will only take a final squad of 23 players to South Africa for the tournament - which will be formally named on Saturday 1st June in South Africa ..

Mr Cleansheets, by Adrian Deans is the unlikely story of an Australian goalkeeper who follows his dream, to play in England, and ends up encountering "murderous football hooligans, Irish mafia, dodgy football agents, beautiful pop stars, international terrorists and a range of supporting players with any number of overt and hidden agendas.
