28/06/2010: Premier League Marconi Stallions now meet Super League side Spirit FC in the NSW McDonald’s Cup Final to be held at Lily Homes Stadium, Seven Hills ('Gabbie') on Sunday 11th July 2010. Marconi was not scheduled to play the day of the final but Spirit's R17 Super League game versus Northern Tigers will have to be re-scheduled .. Mens World Cup: Group D NSW McDonald's Cup ![]()
23/06/2010: The NSW McDonald's Cup Semi-Final fixtures are being played this Tuesday June 22nd which was won by Spirit FC. Blacktown City FC 2 - Spirit FC 3, so Spirit go to the Final. Wednesday evening 23 June Blacktown Spartans lost to Marconi Stallions at Francis Park, Blacktown 0-1 in extra time ..

Two are purely Premier League clashes, whilst Super League Spirit hosted South Coast Wolves, and Super League Granville Rage got to play Div 1 Blacktown Spartans. 30/05/2010: The Westfield Matildas have won the final of AFC Women's Asian Cup 2010 on Sunday night over North Korea 5-4 on penalties, after it going ahead it was 1-1 at the end of normal time, and then no change after extra time, and Kyah Simon slotted home the winning penalty to scenes of delirium in the mud of Chengdu. 27/05/2010: The Westfield Matildas defeated in-form Japan 1-0 in a semi-final of AFC Women's Asian Cup 2010 tonight at the Chengdu Sports Centre in China. 25/05/2010: A full set of NSW McDonald's Cup Round 4 fixtures between the remaining 16 were played on Tuesday evening 25 May. Among results the fairy-tale run of Gwawley Bay came to an end. The Sutherland Association side fell 4-0 to Super League Spirit FC at Christie Park. The big upset was Blacktown Spartans getting up 4-3 on penalties after extra time left them even 1-1. 23/05/2010: The Westfield Matildas lost their third game of Group B in the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2010 against China 0-1 this afternoon at the Chengdu Sports Centre in China. 21/05/2010: The Westfield Matildas won their second game of Group B in the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2010 against South Korea by 3 goals to two this afternoon at the Chengdu Sports Centre in China. In a scoreless first half the Australian's looked more dangerous and it was not unexpected when they scored first but it was a battle right to the end of stoppage time .. Women's Asian Cup 2010
19/05/2010: The Westfield Matildas won their first game of Group B in the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2010 against Vietnam 2-0 this afternoon at the Chengdu Sports Centre in China. Leena Khamis headed them in front before a penalty taken by Kylie Ledbrook sealed the game. They next play South Korea on Friday. Korea & China drew 0-0 in the other game .. A-League:
Officially released by FFA today The draw for the Hyundai A-League 2010/11 season has been released today by Football Federation Australia (FFA). A-League Season 6 will kick off on with Round 1 on Thursday night 5 August with the newest club Melbourne Heart FC hosting the Central Coast Mariners FC at Melbourne Football Stadium (AAMI Park), with the Grand Final on second weekend of March, 2011. By playing more games on week-nights the 30 round premiership season will go over 27 weeks (with only 1 FIFA date break on October) and clubs still play each other three times only .. 11/05/2010: Qantas Socceroos Head Coach Pim Verbeek today announced his preliminary squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup which begins in South Africa next month. Beauchamp, Bresciano, Cahill, Carle, Carney, Chipperfield, Culina, Emerton, Federici, Galekovic, Garcia, Grella, Holland, Holman, Jedinak, Brad Jones, Kennedy, Kewell, Lowry, McDonald, Milligan, Moore, Neill, North, Oar, Rukavytsya, Schwarzer, Valeri, Vidosic, Wilkshire, Rhys Williams. As per FIFA regulations, Verbeek will only take a final squad of 23 players to South Africa for the tournament - which will be formally named on Saturday 1st June in South Africa ..
