Westfield W-League

The 2009/2010 Women's National Football League

BOTN brings you feature game reports from our writers. Season two of the league was launched on Monday 28 September. The first round of the Westfield W-League held on 25-26 October with the opening match between Perth Glory and Sydney FC at Ballymore Stadium televised live by ABC TV. After the same 10 round league the finals series is to be contested by the top four teams at the end of the ten-round competition, with the Grand Final to be held on Saturday 19 December, 2009.

The finalists are Premiers Sydney, runners-up Central Coast Mariners, with last years Premiers and Champions Brisbane, and by goal-difference Canberra United once again. The semi-finals will be played on Saturday (3pm, and TV) with Sydney hosting Canberra at Cronulla, and Sunday (3pm) with Central Coast hosting Brisbane at Gosford. Full W-League Draw: Fixtures
