25/05/2011: Qantas Socceroos Head Coach Holger Osieck has selected a squad of 23-players for the upcoming international friendly matches against New Zealand and Serbia, which will be played at the Adelaide Oval (Sunday 5th June) and Etihad Stadium (Tuesday 7th June) respectively. Tim Cahill, David Carney, Harry Kewell and Mark Schwarzer were unavailable for selection due to injury concerns.

19/05/2011: 'Saints come away with nothing' - The usual autumn evening fog settled over Pluim Park just before kick off, and did not appear to dim St. George’s intentions, but coincidentally, when the fog lifted St. George faded! This was a game where Central Coast were under intense pressure for 60 minutes and seemed destined for a heavy defeat but scored an amazing win by giving their opponents the same treatment they had suffered for the first hour ... 15/05/2011: The Westfield Matildas have claimed a 2-1 victory (and the two game series) over New Zealand in their international friendly in front of a healthy crowd of 2,866 on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Bluetongue Stadium in Gosford. In their last hit-out on home soil before departing for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011 in Germany, Tom Sermanni’s side maintained their 17-year unbeaten streak against world-cup bound New Zealand. 12/05/2011: The Qantas Matildas won 3-0 behind 'closed doors' at Gosford today in the first of two international friendly matches in a Trans Tasman series against the Football Ferns from New Zealand. The two teams compete in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011 at the end of June. They play again at the weekend - tickets are available for the public.

09/05/2011: The Qantas Matildas will play two international friendly matches in a Trans Tasman series against the Football Ferns from New Zealand at Bluetongue Stadium in Gosford this week - on May 12 and 15. Following four intensive camps at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, Westfield Matildas Head Coach Tom Sermanni has reduced his 34 player squad down to 26 players for this camp before selecting his final 21 player list for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011 at the end of the month.

09/05/2011: The Qantas Olyroos Head Coach Aurelio Vidmar and Qantas Young Socceroos Head Coach Jan Versleijen today announced a joint 31-player squad that will go into a training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra this week (12-14th May 2011). It is their last Australian-based training camp. The Olyroos will travel to Japan at the end of the month to play an international friendly match against the Japanese U-23 National team in Niigata, whilst the Young Socceroos will head to Europe to train and compete at the Terborg Tournament prior to facing in Group C, alongside Ecuador, Costa Rica and Spain, at the FIFA U-20 World Cup Colombia 2011 (from 29 July to 20 August).

Down in the ACT Canberra FC 9 defeated Wagga United 1 and Caringbah Redbacks went down 1-4 AET to Pagewood Botany (See Reports). 04/04/2010: Central Coast retained leadership of the NSW Super League with a 2-0 win over Dulwich Hill at Pluim, whilst St George kept their challenge up with a 3-0 win over Blacktown, and Spirit too with a 3-0 win away at Macarthur. Hills Brumbies are still finding promotion tough, going down 1-0 to Sydney University, but Fraser Park continued a strong showing downing Granville Rage 3-2. 30/03/2010: The early preliminary rounds of the 2011 NSW Waratah knock-out Cup kick off tonight (Wednesday 30 March, 2011) with 40 Association level and State League Div 2 clubs battling it out to make the first full round, as 12 others sit out byes. The pick of the games may be at Christie Park, Marsfield where there is a double header, including previous well performing Eastwood St Andrews up against Gwawley Bay, at Cherrybrook Park with FC Gazy Lansvale hosting Dee Why, at Alexandria Oval with Lokomotiv Cove being challenged by Como West Jannali, at Wallshaw Park with Bass Hill hosting Hurstville City Minotaurs, or at Walshaw Park where Gymea United host Luddenham United. 30/03/2011: The Qantas Socceroos overcame a one goal deficit at half-time to defeat Germany 2-1 at Borussia-Park in Mönchengladbach on Tuesday evening 29 March. This is Australia's first ever win over a German national team - the second half goals in the space of three minutes, from play by David Carney and a penalty from Luke Wilkshere, sealed what was both an historic win and a solid second-half display.
