A Zac Walker hat-trick has sunk the AIS 4-0 at John Cain Memorial Park on Saturday afternoon.

Zac Walker opened the scoring with a wonderful strike before smashing home the second and slotting the third past the keeper. Daniel Peluso also fired into the top corner in stoppage time to cap off the afternoon.

Heart created the first chance on 6 minutes when Zac Walker played in captain Dusan Bosnjak whose finish was well closed down and saved by Lucas Spinella.

AIS's first chance came after they pumped up the ball and Jakob Williams got a toe onto the ball but Nikola Roganovic rushed out to clear from the edge of the box.

AIS were looking dangerous with Bright Appiah on the right wing and the young forward passed off to John Karatzas who was one-on-one with Kristian Konstantinidis but Karatzas' effort narrowly missed the target.

The best chance so far of the game came from a great ball from Scott Galloway who found Stefan Mauk. The Joey's volley was fantastically saved by Roganovic.

Joshua Barresi, a tall forward showed some great skill to beat three defenders but his shot was denied by an outstanding save by Roganovic once again.

On 39 minutes Zac Walker used his great pace to beat the defence but while one-on-one with goalkeeper Spinella the 'keeper made a great double save before Zac Walker crossed for the other Walker, Jeremy. But his first time volley was blocked and cleared.

Seconds later Zac Walker opened the scoring for the hosts. The quick forward curled the ball into the top corner from outside the box, a truly stunning goal.

Just before the break Adrian Zahra was found one-on-one with Spinella but the keeper made an excellent save to deny the wide man.

In the opening minute of the second stanza AIS should have equalised but half-time substitute Steve Kuzmanouski fired over from point blank range.

On 58 minutes Zac Walker doubled the lead. Kamal Ibrahim did well on the left and cut the ball back to Walker who smashed the effort into the top of the net.

With six minutes left Zac Walker finished off the AIS with his third goal and his hat-trick when he slotted past substitute 'keeper Jordan Thurtell.

Nick Kalmar in his first game back from a long term back injury almost made it four. But Thurtell denied the senior player with a great save.

Zac Walker was having an outstanding game and played in substitute Daniel Peluso who finished into the top corner past Thurtell to cap off a great result for the Heart.
