Sydney FC has shown that they are W-League title contenders with a 11-0 thrashing against Perth Glory at Leichhardt Oval, Sydney. In a one sided match, Sydney FC showed their young and inexperienced opponents a goal scoring master class. Glory could have conceded more goals due to very poor defending and at times poor goalkeeping from the Perth Number 1 Mackenzie Arnold.

At times in the 1st half, Sydney FC had numerous chances to score a lot of goals, but most of the time shots were either misdirected or shot over the bar which was mainly due to a free flowing possession display which allowed Sydney FC to dominate throughout the whole match.

Sydney FC were rewarded after having numerous amounts of possession in the 42nd minute where a cross from the right hand side of the field by Kylie Ledbrook went directly to Rollason to easily header the ball in the right hand side of the net for 2-0 just before the end of the 1st half. Some wise words from Sydney FC Coach Alen Stajcic led the ladies to a world class attacking display in the 2nd half which resulted in 9 goals to easily eclipse the W-League goal scoring record in a match.

In the 47th minute, a great pass from Rollason to Ledbrook allow Sydney FC to continue the scoring spree by easily finishing from close range. Rollason completed her hat trick in the 50th minute when a great cross from Caitlin Ford in the right hand flank allowed Rollason to place her shot in the goal.

A own goal was scored in the 58th minute by Perth captain Tanya Oxtoby where an attempted save from Perth goalkeeper resulted in Oxtoby trying to prevent the ball going in net with a slide tackle that resulted the ball going in the back of the net.

A minute later another goal was scored when Leena Khamis joined the goal scorers sheet when a great cross from a free kick by Sydney FC captain Heather Garriock allowed Khamis to finish a beautiful header in the right hand far post. Then in the 60th minute, Khamis scored again with a typical goal scorers finish via a low shot outside the box.

Khamis completed her hat trick in the 75th minute through great through ball from Ledbrook which Khamis finished truly in the left hand corner. Ledbrook scored her second in the 78th minute with a perfectly excuted shot outside the box which went in the right hand corner of the net.

Ledbrook completed her hat trick in the 87th minute via another shot outside the box resulted the ball going in the left hand corner of the net. Kyah Simon finally completed the 11 goal scoring masterclass by getting a cross from Servet Uzunlar which allowed Simon to shot outside the box.

After the match, Caitlin Ford from Sydney FC was quoted by replying to an interview about the team's performance "I think the team did really well, scoring 11 goals which is a W-League record, bring this form in the next few games, we have goal scorers so we will take this form for the next matches coming up"
