Western Sydney Wanderers FC 3
(Mark Bridge 5, 33, Rocky Visconte 80')

The Western Sydney Wanderers are the winners of the premiers plate for the 2012/13 season after their 3-0 away win in Newcastle, to complete an amazing debut season in the competition.

A Mark Bridge brace in the first half and a Rocky Visconte rocket sealing the win in front of 10,000 travelling fans.

It took just 6 minutes for the visitors to open the scoring and it they were all formers Jets players involved with the goal, Elrichs long ball finding Haliti who hit a cross across the goal to find Bridge who taps in, in front of the travelling supporters.

Zadkovich almost immediately levels a minute later but his free kick is saved by Covic.

Western Sydney were pressing high up on the Jets defence forcing them into errors, the Jets often found no way through the middle of the Wanderers defence and were forced to the wings and their crosses were easily dealt with by well organised defence- Topor-Stanley and Beauchamp keeping everything out.

On 33 minutes its Bridge again for the visitors, Topor-Stanley plays a long ball headed on by Kresinger and Bridge is away beating Chapman, he chips Birighitti for his second goal, the Wanderers are doing it easily.

The second half has the Jets trying to get back into this game, Virgilli goes close and Taggart strikes an upright –they need to win but its man against boys.

Visconte in the closing minutes ends the contest with a 20 meter screamer going into the back of the net.

This game was all about the Wanderers and their amazing visiting fans who travelled 2 hrs up the F3 freeway to witness this amazing achievement.

Well done Wanderers
